Firstly a question, what is the size of an Australian Super King size quilt? It is 270cm wide and 240cm long.
Now that the size is sorted out, we noticed many years ago that there were increasing number of local enquiries for super king sized quilts which seemed logical for a luxury bedding brand. We also have had enquiries from export markets especially the USA and Europe for very large sizes, which was great, but we couldn't supply.
There were two problems, we didn't have quilting equipment that could do larger sizes and our fabrics weren't wide enough, The solution was simple, buy a new wider quilting machine and order wider fabrics. Problem solved!
Today, we can manufacture quilts up to 290cm x 250cm
We carry stock of Super King sized quilts in all of our collections for the Australian market. Interestingly the Australian retailers are also telling us that the Super King quilt market is growing but most other quality manufacturers can only supply upon request, which means they don't carry stock, but please don't tell them that its a good idea.
And if you require a very special sized quilt, we once did a round 250cm quilt for a local tv personality, and we have just introduced an innovative pre make fibre pad system which means we are able to promptly make a up a special sized quilt for you.
Another exclusive innovation from Kelly & Windsor.

I noticed a Facebook post last weekend "who owns Kelly & Windsor Australia?" Is it really an Australian owned business?
We are a 100% owned Australian owned and operated business. The ownership of the company is on the pubic records and we extensively use the Australian made and Owned logo under a licence agreement with The Australia Made Campaign.
Despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic, we have maintained full manufacturing and shipping operations since the initial out break. We are actually struggling to met demand for our luxurious Australian Made bedding collections.
We have instigated strict Covid Safe Policies and Practices and are prepared to offer full support to staff who may be effected in these difficult times.
We were on TVSN with our Alpaca Gold 400 winter quilts and pillows with two shows in June which were both sold out.
These shows were the first time featuring our finest pure Alpaca Gold quilts and despite not being able to be in the studio in person, the shows were a great success with repeat orders required to fill customer back orders.
