Some partnerships mean more than business. For me, our connection with Kangaroo Island Wool is one of them. It brings together my passion for Australian Merino wool and a very special part of my family history. My great-great-great-grandfather, Captain Robert Clark Morgan (pictured above), brought the first free settlers to South Australia in 1836, landing them on Kangaroo Island. He also delivered the first Merino sheep. To be connected to Kangaroo Island Wool today, generations later, feels incredibly special. It is a wonderful full-circle moment, bringing a piece of my family's history into the work we do at Kelly & Windsor. It is a connection I hold close to my heart.
What makes this partnership so special is that we share the same values. We believe that quality begins on the farm, with the care of the sheep, responsible farming and respect for the land.
It continues through every stage of making the finished product.
Kangaroo Island Wool shares our commitment to sheep health and welfare, environmental care, social responsibility and premium Australian Merino wool.
Their commitment continues beyond the farm, working with manufacturing partners who follow their own strict ethical and environmental standards.
For us, it matters that the products we bring into people's homes are made with care, thought and respect for the people and resources behind them.
These are values we believe in, and they guide the partnerships we choose.
At Kelly & Windsor, we believe in choosing natural materials that bring comfort, quality and lasting value to the home. Australian Merino wool is a remarkable natural fibre, known for its softness, breathability and comfort. It also has a long and proud history in Australia, making it a natural fit for what we do.
Through our global rights to Kangaroo Island Wool for bedding accessories, we have the privilege of bringing this special Australian-grown wool into the bedroom. Our Farm to Bed philosophy is simple: we care about where our wool comes from, how it is handled and the people involved in making the finished product.
Knowing that this work is connected to the history of my own family makes it even more meaningful.
My family's connection to Kangaroo Island began in 1836. Today, through Kelly & Windsor and Kangaroo Island Wool, that history has become part of our story too.
We are proud to support Australian-grown Merino wool and the farmers, landscapes and skills that make it so special.
Our bedding accessories bring together the natural comfort of Merino wool, thoughtful craftsmanship and a commitment to Australian manufacturing. The wool is grown here, processed in Australia and made here into finished products for your home.
For me, this is much more than a business partnership. It is a connection to my family's past and a way to carry that story forward through the work we do today.
From Farm to Bed, it is a story of Australian wool, family heritage and a connection I am proud to continue.
