The 24th edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles proved itself as the leading home textile trade fair in Asia

• 1,092 exhibitors from 26 countries

• 41,000 buyers from over 104 countries

The Australian Alpaca Bedding Company, a subsidiary of Kelly & Windsor Australia, exhibited again at the Autumn 2018 edition of the Intertextile fair in Shanghai and what a great fair.

In the last five years that we have been exhibiting at this fair, I have noticed the significant increase in exhibitor and visitor numbers which confirms its status as Asia's leading home textile fairs. Its a very high profile show, not just for China and the region, but the whole world. Its a must visit event if you are in the home textile business.

We busy for the four days and often the stand was completely full of visitors with multiple meetings going on at once. We had over one hundred contacts from China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, USA, Canada and Europe.

Of primary interest was the Australian Alpaca quilt collections which were very popular. We sold all of the stand display samples in the first few hours on day one!

The stand visitors were a mix distributors, on line Chinese retailers and indent agents who were very interested to discuss multiple trading and distribution opportunities.

While the Bedding section of the fair, which covers a wide range of home textile products, was quite small it gave us a great opportunity to showcase the brand and meet many promising contacts for future growth of the business into Asia.

The fair was a great success and we loved visiting Shanghai, what an exciting and vibrant city.
