We saw an interesting post on Facebook last weekend.
In essence, the post was "Who owns Kelly & Windsor?" ... "the web site looks like its Chinese owned with the Chinese flag on the Home Page"
Two very relevant points which I am very happy to address.
Firstly, we are a 100% Australian owned and operated business and very proud of it too. Kelly & Windsor Australia Pty Ltd is registered with the Australian Securities and Investment Commssion (ASIC) which includes details of is Australian ownership. We are fully transparent, the shareholders of the company are on the public ASIC record.
Kelly & Windsor is also a proud licence holder of the Australia Made Campaign and we extensively use the "Australian made and Owned" logo on our packaging and promotional materials. The use of the Australia Made logo is strictly controlled and infringement is subject to significant legal penalties for false or misleading use.
In regards the Chinese flag on the web site, it is simply a link to a section of our web site which has been translated into simplified Chinese. There are approximately 650,000 people of Chinese origin who live in Australia who are either citizens, permanent residents or visitors. We sell our bedding products to all Australian residents and tourists so we have translated sections of our web site to promote our product ranges to this market segment to make it easier for Chinese speaking customers to purchase our products.
